As a young mother with her oldest son and not knowing exactly how to maneuver through her pregnancy and the choices that were available to women was a difficult journey for her. It wasn't until the birth of her youngest son that she made it her mission to provide support to couples. Through her own pregnancies and births she has found healing in every couple she has helped and birth she has attended. Marisol received her doula training from Birth Goddess Midwifery, she is an affiliated Bradley Method® instructor, has attended traditional Mexican rebozo workshops for use in labor & postpartum and most recently completed an intense 9 month traditional postpartum course focused on traditional Mexican herbs and remedies for the postpartum mother with Indigemama Ancestral Healing. She is involved with her community and supporting women through their breastfeeding journeys and being an advocate for families, Marisol has represented mothers and families in Sacramento, CA by lobbying for SB63 that allows new mothers and fathers to stay home longer with their newborns, she's been recognized by the Mayor of Long Beach in the Women's Leadership Celebration and will continue to support families in whatever way she can by offering an endless list of referrals to other resources available.
Marisol lives in Long Beach, CA with her partner and 2 sons Nicholas and Marrik and 2 dogs. She is firmly grounded in her beliefs and is guided by her incredible village which consists of her mother, sister, brother which is her foundation. Along with the incredible families she has assisted.
